David y su familia, rebeca y Roth son los mejores anfitriones que un viajero se puede encontrar, su hospitalidad no tiene límites, David conoce la selva mejor que Tarzán, David se transforma cuando se mete a la selva virgen, y no solo es un guía único del Amazonas, sino que es un estudioso de su flora y fauna, y aunque parezca loco, también es un chef único, un barman inigualable y lo más importante un amigo de los que siempre estarán. ¡Ojalá hubiera más gente como ustedes en el camino, no cambien! los espero en Argentina... y nos cruzamos en Bogotá pronto!

I got in contact with David while he was in Lima and we were lucky because our plan was to arrive to the "selva" just one day before his arrival. We stopped in Nauta and we waited for him there. We went for a 3 days/2 nights tour in Pacaya Samiria Reserve with him and few travellers (very nice people all of them!) for a very competitive price and we really enjoyed it (you don't have to buy the tour to stay in his house, he is very honest). After that we stayed few days in his house, close to Iquitos, in a very beautiful location. We had time to share a lot of nice moments and chats with David who is a wonderful person. His energy is amazing!

Estupenda pareja! me recibieron una semana (con tres dias de aventura en la selva) y fue tan positivo como me lo esperaba. Rebeca y David tienen muchas historias muy interesantes sobre la vida en Perú y en la selva. Compartimos bonitas tardes charlando y cocinando (o intentando jaja)y me hicieron descubrir otra forma de pensar. En la selva fue muy interesante y bonito, comimos suri (yummy), buscamos migalias y nos despertamos con los monos. Abelito es un personaje que todos deberian conocer! He's a nice and helpful guy. We slept a couple of nights in his house and went into the Amazonian jungle with him as well. He's got a nice camp in the middle of the forest and knows many interesting stories related to the myths of the Amazonas 🙂 Fue muy chévere, gracias!

David is fantastic! David has a great house a little outside of the city and a great authentic experience in the jungle if you choose to go on his expedition. He is a great cook and very knowledgeable about the jungle. I got to see monkeys, dolphins, frogs, tarantulas, huge jungle birds and most importantly.....ABEJAS!!!!!!! We, and another couple, 110% recommend his jungle tour after going with him for 3 days... We hadn't been planning on a tour when we arrived, but it turned out to be exactly what we would have wanted: authentic, informative and an adventure with a guide we trusted! The people who accompanied us throughout the tour were also great (a sweet younger brother!) Beyond the tour, David was so helpful with us getting around Iquitos and just a great guy through and through! Thank you again David, hopefully meet again!

A retired captain of the Gen Gen football team, an ex football star is a normal man now, has a small doggy, one wife, and is damn good in jungle cooking. He can prepare you a nutritious meal in a second. You only need a dead, rotten, smelly palm tree, one axe and well thats it! Bon appétit! 😉

Whaaa, my stay at Rebecca and David´s place couldn't be better. I was suppose to stay 2 days but I left 10 days later, after building a true friendship with them! Thanks to them I speak Spanish a bit, I cook traditional dishes and I handled a tarantula in the jungle... Rebecca taught me Spanish and cooking every mornings and David brought my friends and I in the jungle, looking for animals, cooking caiman... I want to come back next year for a race on the amazonian river with David and we have already a name for our team 🙂 Can't wait to see them again, we had so much fun. Thanks a lot again to both of you for the unforgettable time I had with you guys.

My stay at David's place is in one word: FUN.
We ended up staying in tent, right in the garden and i LOVE it. He and his wife treated me with some food, local flavour to boot. They went miles to pick me up at the airport. And they tried their best to make me feel comfortable while I'm at their place.
Even to the point that they let me get that hammack and a book to kill my time when I would be on my way on Amazon river for 3 days, 3 nights. Then showed me the best picarones ever in
Iquitos, sitting down to chill with one local woman, hearing her life story and at the same time, enjoying plaza at night. How cool it is!
Absolutely no complaint from me, especially with their hospitality. Hope to see you again, you two.

Bueno, qué decir del hospedaje con David y sobre él mismo, es una persona encantadora, familiar, con muchas ganas de ayudar a las personas que hospeda y siempre con una sonrisa en la boca. Esta siempre con ganas de bromear y reír. Por un problema personal solo pude conocer a su mujer Rebeca dos días, pero me dio muy buenas sensaciones de ser también super amable y buena persona. ¡¡¡Iba a quedarme 5 o 6 días y me quede 11!!! Además, fuimos a la selva y fue sensacional. No dejo un couch en Iquitos, me llevo un amigo.

My girlfriend and I arrived in Iquitos with no plans other than to try and find David, who had agreed to let us crash with him for a bit. We had a little bit of trouble finding his place at first, but with the help of a determined motorcade driver and some of Davids neighbors we made it to what we hoped was his door. We were relieved to be met with a big smile and warm welcome. David and his wife so kind and helpful. They taught us more spanish and encouraged us to use what we knew. That night David helped us to set up a jungle tour with his friend and the very next morning we set out. We spent a few great days in the amazon before coming back to David's for our last night in Iquitos. I would recommend coming to Iquitos and staying with David to anyone. It was a favorite part of the trip and an experience I will always remember. Thank You!
